WTCI hosts in-person and virtual events throughout the year, such as a one-day women’s leadership conference, thought leader-led discussions about the most pressing business challenges of the day and a lively awards ceremony to honor people who are driving change.
We encourage people in our network to share what they have learned over the years, like insights on global business trends and guidance on what skills are needed to join the C-Suite. There are opportunities to do so by being a speaker or moderator at a WTCI event, during one of the workshops offered to our fellows and when our international visitors are in town. Interested in speaking? Contact Vice President of Programs and Fellowships Astrid Schmidt-King at astrid@wtci.org.
Once a year, WTCI honors the steadfast leaders at companies, nonprofit organizations, governments and academic institutions who are driving change regionally and globally. We would love for you to nominate somebody for the award.
Through WTCI’s Global Exchanges program, more than 600 people come to Maryland from other countries annually. We coordinate professional development and cultural opportunities for them. You can get involved by hosting one of the visitors in your home.
We offer fellowships to mid- to senior-level managers at global businesses, as well as high school and college students. They all have one thing in common: wanting to lead change for good.
We want people to get the most they possibly can get out of attending one of our events or participating in one of our programs. To do so, we have created a variety of committees. If you want to join a committee, contact Vice President of Programs and Fellowships Astrid Schmidt-King at astrid@wtci.org.
Sponsoring a WTCI event or program is one of the best ways to grow and nurture the Mid-Atlantic’s network of people who want to drive growth and social good in the region and worldwide. Simultaneously, sponsors play a pivotal role in solidifying the region’s reputation as an innovation hub.
