Professional Exchanges Program

Description:

Help design professional and cultural programming for visiting delegations of foreign professionals; escort visiting foreign delegations to meetings with local experts; get acquainted with various government and private sector resources in Maryland; maintain and update database and website content; prepare welcome packets for visitors; perform research projects as needed; attend WTCI networking events; and perform other miscellaneous duties in the internship program field, event planning or office management.

Skills Needed:

Professional communication and attitude; comfortable with working in a small office environment; good interpersonal skills; detail oriented; ability to complete assignments on deadline; must be able to work independently; interested in working with foreign professionals and learning about foreign cultures and affairs; ability to multi-task; knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; command of a foreign language preferred but not required.
