WTCI's Next AGILE Panel Will Explore Change Management and Career Resilience

February 2, 2023

A Winning Career in a World of Change

BALTIMORE, MD – On February 21st, three experts in adapting to change will lead a discussion about how to be a champion for change so your career and business can thrive. It will be the first event in the World Trade Center Institute’s 2023 AGILE Global Innovation Series.

The panelists will explore change management theory and practice, such as how to maneuver the new non-linear path to growth. They will, among other things, focus on adaptability and resiliency – the critical success factors needed in this new era of constant change, transformation, and global disruption.

The panelists are:

  • Neil Irwin, the chief economic correspondent at Axios and a former correspondent for the New York Times and The Washington Post. He is the author of several books, including “How to Win in a Winner-Take-All World: The Definitive Guide to Adapting and Succeeding in High-Performance Careers,” which he will be signing at the event. In all his writing, he applies economic logic to help explain and understand the world around us.

  • Chichi Nyagah-Nash is the chief of staff and chief people officer at Maryland-based Whitebox Inc., a commerce technology platform. She has more than 13 years of experience leading human resources and operational management initiatives in the public and private sectors, including for the City of Baltimore and US Foodservice.

  • Scot Johnson has had various leadership roles related to human resources and organizational development over the last 20 years. He specializes in highly matrixed and geographically decentralized organizations. He was recently hired as the chief human resources officer at Randa Apparel & Accessories, following four years as the vice president of human resources (North America) for Pandora Jewelry.

The discussion will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the World Trade Center Baltimore. A one-hour networking reception will follow. AGILE events are free to WTCI members and people who attend virtually. Others can attend in person for $50 or $25 if they are a student. Purchase tickets here. All AGILE sessions also are live-streamed on LinkedIn.

The AGILE innovation series was launched by WTCI in 2017 to help global executives navigate the myriad issues related to being an effective leader. Speakers in the past have been senior leaders from a variety of businesses in the public and private sector, such as Under Armour, the National Aquarium, Johns Hopkins, Save the Children, McCormick & Co., and Honest Tea.

The Visionary Sponsor for this year’s AGILE series is Ruppert International. Other sponsors include Emergent, Hogan Lovells, Stanley Black & Decker, citybizlist, and Vicinity.
