Once a year, the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) honors the people who make this possible – the steadfast leaders at companies, nonprofit organizations, governments and academic institutions who are driving change.
Among the 125+ winners since the first event was held in 1996 are leaders from Marriott International, Under Armour, Procter & Gamble, Lockheed Martin and the United States Senate. See all the winners here.
Eight people were honored at the last awards ceremony, held in 2020 (due to the global pandemic, the ceremony was not held in 2021). This included University of Maryland, Baltimore County President Freeman Hrabowski, recipient of the Governor’s Lifetime International Award, and The Wine Advocate founder Robert Parker, who won the inaugural Global Visionary Award.
