Deborah Kielty
President and Executive Director

Deborah M. Kielty joined the World Trade Center Institute in
Baltimore
as
President and Executive Director in October 2001
following a 20 year international career with Procter & Gamble.
As head of the World Trade Center Institute, Ms. Kielty leads the
largest international business network in the mid-atlantic region
serving over 2000 clients
across the private, diplomatic, government
and academic sectors
In this capacity, Ms. Kielty reports to a Board
of Directors largely
made up of private sector business
executives. She is responsible
for overall strategic leadership, financial management
organizational development.
Immediately prior to joining the World Trade Center, Ms. Kielty
served as Vice President Global Alliances & Licensing (1999 - 2001)
and General Manager Worldwide Strategic Planning (1992 - 1999)
for Procter & Gamble Beauty Care, based in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
Ms. Kielty also served as Managing Director, Procter & Gamble Health & Beauty Care Europe (1988 - 1991) based first as Associate
Advertising Manager in Rome and later as Managing Director Cosmetics in London. Prior to that, Ms. Kielty served as Brand Manager and Associate Advertising Manager, Procter & Gamble de Mexico (1983 - 1988) based in Mexico City.
Ms. Kielty holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a Masters Degree in International Management from Thunderbird’s American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona. She was awarded Thunderbird's Barton Kyle Yount Award given to the member of each graduating class who most exemplifies Yount’s ideals of scholarship, accomplishment and character, and was the keynote student speaker at her graduation. In November 2006 Ms. Kielty was awarded Thunderbird’s Distinguished Graduate Award for Career Achievement. She has traveled and conducted business in over 50 countries, and speaks several languages.
Ms. Kielty serves on many boards, including the Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs, the Governor's Sub-Cabinet for International Affairs, JHPIEGO Affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, Procter & Gamble Global Alumni, and the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business CIBER (Center for International Business Education and Research). She has two young children from China and is past President of Families with Children from China in Maryland. She is active in the Federal Hill neighborhood community in Baltimore, and in 2003 was chosen as one of Baltimore's Top 50 Leaders. For the past five years, Ms. Kielty has served as M.C. for Maryland's Annual International Business Leadership Awards, and annually hosts the Embassy Day Tradeshow -- the largest gathering of private sector business leaders and Embassy diplomats in the region.

Julie Vinatier
Director, Operations and Client Services
Julie Vinatier joined the World Trade Center Institute in Baltimore in May 2004. Ms. Vinatier has grown to be responsible of all operational aspects of WTCI as well as the Client Services arena. In her role as the director of operations, Julie oversees the day-to-day activities in the field of International Visitors; Marketing and Finance and IT. She is responsible for the overall accounting operations, ensuring that business relationships between Mid-Atlantic companies and foreign business executives are established and that WTCI branding is accurately represented. In her role as the client services representative, Julie works to ensure total client satisfaction and the use of WTCI’s wide range of services for each of our members. In addition, Julie seats on the Maryland-Jalisco Sister State Committee as the WTCI representative.
Julie, originally from France, holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore, Maryland with a concentration in International Business. She completed her B.S in Business Administration with a concentration in Management at Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas. During this time she was inducted in Sigma Iota Epsilon, the Management and Professional Honorary Society, and held the honor of being placed on the National Dean's List. While attending University of Baltimore, Julie was an officer for the Graduate Student Senate through which she completed her student leader certification and received an outstanding student leader award.
Eddie Resende
Senior Manager, Sales and Business Development
Eddie Resende joined WTCI as an intern in 2004, gaining valuable
experience and insight on international trade and networking. His devotion
to WTCI’s mission, combined with his professional ambition, led him to return in May 2007 as the Manager of Sales and Business Development. Eddie’s diverse background, international knowledge, and outstanding organizational skills help contribute to the success of many WTCI events. A native speaker of Portuguese and fluent in Spanish, Eddie’s linguistic abilities lend themselves to the demands of the international community, enabling him to offer something more to our members.
Eddie earned his BS degree in International Business from Towson University’s College of Business and Economics in 2005. Since graduating from Towson, Eddie has worked with TESSCO Technologies Inc, in the International Sales Department. Eddie hopes to bring the knowledge and skills he gained with TESSCO to his work at WTCI. In addition to his experience in the corporate world, Eddie has played a central role in contributing to the development of the non-governmental organization Gems of the Earth, which promotes both social and economic development in the rural communities of Brazil by making modern technology accessible to all who seek it. Not surprisingly, this project is very close to Eddie’s heart.
Eddie was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and is an avid soccer fan. He also enjoys reading books and traveling. In the future, he hopes to continue his work with international development projects and be able to devote time to furthering the Gems of the Earth project.
Nina Bankova
Manager, International Visitors and Clients Services
A recent graduate from Towson University, Nina Bankova joined the World Trade Center Institute in August 2006. Nina is in charge of programming the professional stays of international visitors from all over the world. WTCI’s International Visitor Program is administered, in part, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State as a part of its International Leadership Visitor Program. Nina ensures that all visitors meet with the most suitable American counterparts and their meetings result in a mutual exchange of information and knowledge. In her capacity, Nina designs and implements programs for international leaders, scholars and business professionals. In addition, Nina is responsible for providing quality and efficient client services to WTCI customers. She helps to resolve and respond to routine client inquiries as well as strengthen their account relationship with the organization.
Nina, born and raised in Bulgaria, earned her B.S. in Economics from Towson University in May 2006. Naturally, she has extensive international experience. For three years she pursued a combined degree in International Relations and Economics at the American University in Bulgaria, where she met people from all around Central and Eastern Europe, as well as citizens from the former Russian Republics. While at Towson University, Nina was elected a Vice President of the Golden Key International Honour Society and was inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the Business Honor Society.
Janessa Shaikun
Manager, Marketing/Communications and Event Planning
Janessa joined the World Trade Center Institute in August of 2006. Janessa manages WTCI's various Internal and External Communications needs including graphic design, PR, Marketing, advertising and the WTCI website. This involves development of press releases, e-marketing, brochures, posters, calendars, and other communication vehicles for WTCI events and organization promotion. Also WTCI’s event planner, she creates and executes the event critical path schedules, handling the pre, post, and day of event logistics.
Janessa grew up in Upstate New York in the small suburban town of Orchard Park outside of Buffalo, and is an avid Football and Hockey fan. She moved to Maryland to attend college and earned her BA in Communications Studies, with a cognate in English at the University of Maryland, College Park. At UMD she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, and participated in Prevent Child Abuse America and Children’s Hospital of Richmond philanthropies. She also studied photography and Spanish culture at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain, through Florida State University. Ms. Shaikun enjoys living in Baltimore city (Canton), and becoming a part of the Baltimore community.
Daniel Pangaribuan
Manager, Finance and IT

Daniel Pangaribuan joined the World Trade Center Institute in
Baltimore
in November 2007. Daniel is responsible for the accounting and financial
roles in WTCI which involves all payments and quarterly
financial reporting.
In addition, Daniel assists with WTCI’s website and
takes care of the web
updates.
Daniel has a variety of professional experience both in the US and Indonesia. He was hired at Dreyfus Corporation in New York City as an Operations Accountant after completing his Masters Degree in Business Administration at University of New Haven, Connecticut with a concentration in Finance. Daniel has gained additional experience at International Fund Services in New York City as a Net Asset Value Accountant and at Dun & Bradstreet Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia as the Marketing and Business Development Manager.
His professional goals brought Daniel back to the US and he has been enjoying his new role at the World Trade Center Institute since then.
Daniel, who was born in Indonesia, has passions for photography, film-making, and creative design. He hopes that these passions will also add a significant amount of contribution to WTCI.
